Vibrant Spring Wedding at Belcroft Estate & Event Centre

I always love spring weddings, and Jess and Jason’s celebration at the Belcroft Estate & Event Centre in Innisfil was a perfect example of this. I love the blooming trees, how vibrant everything feels – as a gardener, spring is always the most exciting with everything coming back to life. The leaves are all so new and perfect and wedding season is fresh as well. 

Like many many weddings this summer, this day started out quite rainy – but it cleared up just when it was needed. This has been the summer of fierce unpredictable rain! In this case it cooperated thankfully. 

Their ceremony took place in the laneway trees, and the soft pastel colours of the spring palette were beautifully complemented by the vibrant mismatched bridesmaids’ dresses. Jess’s choice of a feminine overskirt on her dress was feminine and fun, and I love the way dress designers are incorporating more accessories to change the look throughout the day without requiring a full outfit change. 

Their reception was held in the classic barn on the property. Having had the pleasure of photographing many weddings at Belcroft Estate & Event Centre, I can confidently say that the barn is always a cosy spot with a lot of character. Its rustic charm combined with modern amenities makes it an ideal space for couples looking for a rustic space that’s very comfortable for guests.  The barn’s exposed beams and warm lighting created an inviting atmosphere for Jess and Jason’s celebration. We popped out quickly for sunset photos, it’s always nice when you’re familiar with a venue and you know the best spots.
