This beautiful boho Kortright Centre wedding was one of my favourites from last summer – I love how versatile the Kortright Centre is, and all of the beautiful photo locations that are tucked around the property. I especially love the ceremony location that Colleen + Calvin chose, they had a beautiful triangle arbour as the centrepiece in the forest and it was the perfect photo backdrop for the reception later. Neon is definitely having a moment in wedding decor at the moment, and I think it’s a pretty fun accent at a reception when the lights are low.
Colleen + Calvin are a very relaxed couple with great style, their engagement session is posted on my site as well, and we basically just wandered around the city enjoying the last gasps of fall. One of my favourite ways to take photos actually, you never know what you’ll find and it keeps things casual. The gorgeous floral crown were put together by Aspen Florist.
I have shot several Kortright Centre weddings over the years, the glass house is a really lovely intimate venue space, especially if you’re a couple that loves nature it’s a great way to enjoy nature while being close to the city. It’s also a good place to stop for portraits if you’re having a wedding somewhere up in that area.
