Frequently Asked Questions
First thing, please send me an email and we can make sure I’m free on your wedding date. We can schedule a call to review any other questions you may have. Once everything feels like a good fit, you can secure your date with a deposit and signed contract.
For weddings a $1,500 retainer is due at the time of booking. I require 50% of the remaining balance 6 weeks before the wedding and the remaining balance is due when I finish editing and the gallery is ready.
I have been shooting weddings full time for over 16 years and I have photographed hundreds of weddings throughout Toronto and Ontario.
I love editing images with colours that look natural and timeless – photos that will look just as beautiful in 30 years as they do today, with beautiful skin tones and true to life greens. I don’t follow styles like ‘light and airy’ or ‘dark and moody’ – I simply let the moment speak for itself.
I split my time between Toronto and Aurora Village in York Region.
I often photograph weddings and portrait sessions throughout Aurora, King City, and other communities north of Toronto, and during the summer I spend a lot of time working in Muskoka and Georgian Bay. We have a family cottage in Cognashene and it’s my favourite place on earth and also where I met my husband.
Absolutely, amongst all the candid storytelling of the day, I will absolutely make sure that you have some elegant and relaxed portraits.
It really depends on the day – but generally it’s around 75 photos per hour I’m with you, but there is no cap or limit on what I send. I promise you will have great photos of every part of the day.
Formal family portraits are an important part of the wedding day.
Before the wedding we’ll make a short list of family groupings so the process stays organized and quick, allowing everyone to return to the celebration.
For weddings I usually delivery around 6-8 weeks, during peak season 10 weeks would be the longest. I will send you some previews 3-4 weeks after the wedding.
Absolutely this is something I offer, I love smaller creative weddings, generally speaking for these small packages it’s usually only for weekdays during busy wedding season – please reach and we can discuss further.
Yes, absolutely.
I regularly photograph weddings and portrait sessions throughout:
- Toronto
- Aurora
- King City
- York Region
- Muskoka
- Georgian Bay
- cottage properties across Ontario
Outdoor venues and natural landscapes are some of my favourite places to photograph.
Fortunately, I have never been sick and missed a wedding, and I will come almost no matter what – but I do have a network of Toronto photographers and I will do my absolute best to make sure someone qualified would take my place, were the worst to happen.

“Nikki was the best thing that we invested on our wedding day. She exceeded our expectations through her consistent professionalism, quick and ongoing communication, patience, understanding, empathy, and a natural eye/talent when taking photos. Her presence always made us feel comfortable, despite our awkwardness in front of the camera. She remembered the special moments that we wanted captured on our wedding day and took beautiful candid shots that were beyond what we anticipated. We hope to hire her again as our family grows and would highly recommend her. She is truly a gem in Toronto!”
