Modern tented wedding in Stouffville

Minnie and Jeff had originally planned their wedding downtown at Hotel Ocho, but after a few rescheduling challenges they settled on Minnie’s parent’s backyard, which was beautiful. The pond with the lillypads in the backyard was so gorgeous and it was the perfect setup for their modern tented wedding.

This beautiful affair was put together by Blush & Bowties, florals by Jordana at White Oak. I loved the moody dusty velvet for the table cloths, and the brass accents. Jordana really makes some incredible floral creations, I first worked with her on Kejina & Jeremy’s wedding and have worked with her a few times since, she is amazing.

These two were so lovely through the ups and downs with Covid – you could tell they were happy to finally be getting married and that was really all that mattered to them. You could see the love flowing between the families, there is something very heartfelt about an intimate wedding, the energy is special because each guest is deeply invested in being there.

Covid definitely brought about more backyard weddings, and I do hope they stick around, they are definitely a lot of work in their own way, but they are so personal and fun. If I ever get married again I would choose something unique for my venue, some kind of modern tented wedding or my dream location – Georgian Bay. I would highly recommend working with a planner if you’re going to put an event together on private property.
