These Cambridge Mill wedding photos were taken in February. I hadn’t shot at the Cambridge Mill for a winter wedding before, but it was quite beautiful. Charlotte’s dress was so perfect for the day – it was a great choice for the snow, easy to wear boots underneath and heavy and warm. Overheating in a dress is a real problem for brides in the summer, so this was pretty perfect, also it wasn’t completely freezing like some other days this winter.
The lace detailing was really interesting and I love the sleeves. The Mill has a really perfect chapel, it’s right on the river and it gets some beautiful light and it works well if you’re worried about the weather and having an outdoor ceremony.
We had so many great places for wedding portraits on the day – Charlotte + Mike rented a lodge nearby in Cambridge – we chose the river for the first look location and it had plenty of space inside for everyone to hang out and get ready. I especially love the Cambridge Mill wedding photos that we took at sunset on the balcony, the snow and soft winter light was dreamy. I thought the little polar bears on top of their wedding cake was such a cute touch, the cake was designed by Cake Box.
These two are so down to earth and easy going, they both had such loving and close knit families. They had a great dance party at the end and it’s just one of those days I really enjoyed.
