Intimate Summer Ontario Backyard Wedding

This beautiful Ontario backyard wedding came together after numerous challenges, guest limits, venue changes and anything else you can think of, but Rebecca and Chris rolled with it all and had a beautiful day.

Rebecca wore an amazing Enzoani dress and it was just perfect on her. I actually shot Rebecca’s cousin’s wedding so many years ago, and I love this family, they are a lot of fun. It’s special when you get to know a family over the years, it’s a part of my job I cherish, especially as couples go on to have their own families, I really appreciate building that trust.

Rebecca and Chris had the reception in Rebecca’s parent’s backyard, and omg, for whatever reason it was FREEZING that day, but fortunately they had a tent heater. They had their ceremony at Blessed Sacrament on Yonge street, which is a pretty church, I loved their covid group shot on the steps after the service.

These two have a sweet love story, one of those stories where they were perfect for one another beside one another for years before they realized it and finally got together.

This backyard wedding was small, refined and lovely, I miss shooting big wild backyard parties like this one this year, but hopefully next year they will be back with a vengeance, but who can say? I’m just happy to see people are moving ahead with life, celebrating their love, and remembering what’s important. If you’re thinking about having an intimate ontario backyard wedding, I really recommend it! There are a few logistical challenges to figure out, but the vibe and familiarity are tough to replicate at a formal venue.
