Intimate Georgian Bay Wedding – Private Estate

Angie and Mark held their intimate Georgian Bay Wedding at this beautiful property in Port McNicoll - it's located in a development of homes and this particular house is at the end of the road with water all around it. For me it was perfect, it was a quick drive from my own family cottage on Georgian Bay as a bonus! Though I did have to boat home in the storm that night, which was less fun.

Angie and Mark had their wedding at this beautiful house they rented, I'm a huge of Airbnb Weddings it's a beautiful way for guests to enjoy a unique space, have a place to stay and to provide a really cool experience for a smaller scale wedding. That's the fun of an intimate wedding is you can be so creative about where you have it. I shot a beautiful wedding at a house in Toronto a few years ago and it was still one of my favourites, link is above.

Angie and Mark were so fun to work with, the whole day was full of joy and ease, even when a freak storm rolled through the reception the festivities carried on flawlessly. Angie's dress was fabulous, I'm loving the overskirts that give you the ability to have a more formal gown and then take it off when you want to party. So fun she went for something so glam and sparkly in a natural environment, sometimes it doesn't work for me, but in this case it just suited her so well and it just worked.

Their ceremony by the water was so stunning, I loved the storm clouds brewing behind them, a preview of later. I worked alongside the wonderful Kath Films at this wedding too - she is a wonderful videographer. I'm not sure how often this house is rented, but it's worth considering if you are looking to host an intimate Georgian bay wedding.
