Gracewood Estate Wedding – Cherry Orchard Dinner

I’m always happy when I get to photograph a Gracewood Estate wedding, but I have to say I was extra thrilled when Sophia told me her plans. Sophia + Cassim had their reception dinner in the perfectly picturesque cherry orchard at Kurtz Orchards with the open sky above them. I’m a personal die hard alfresco fan, I will always eat outside if it’s an option, so this appealed to me on so many levels – but mainly because it was incredibly beautiful. String lights hanging between the cherry trees and the dappled sunlight on the tables was very dreamy. The weather went through a few iffy patches during the day, and everything went perfectly until a TORRENTIAL downpour started just minutes after everyone went to the tent for dancing. Perfect timing, which is all you need really 😉

Niagara on the Lake is one of my favourite destinations for weddings, but a Gracewood Estate wedding is especially gracious, there is something about the property  – the versatility, the buildings, and the various themes that each couple can choose to enhance based on their own style – relaxed or formal, it all works. Another fav is the cheese boards they put out, because they are stunning and delicious.

Sophia changed into a bridal jumpsuit later, which was pretty amazing for walking around in the vineyards for their sunset session. This beautiful affair was seamlessly coordinated by Kari Lywood Events, beautiful florals by the talented Bloom & Co.  – a few other vendors are listed below 🙂

Sophia’s dress and jumpsuit are designed by Rime Arodaky – they were both incredibly beautiful, I loved the simplicity of Sophia’s dress – wedding dresses have come a long way since I first started photographing weddings – they are so versatile and unique.
